Emma finishes runner-up in Stroud half

WESTBURY Harriers’ Emma D’Alton finished an excellent runner-up in the Stroud half marathon today.
D’Alton clocked a time of 1hr 18mins 33secs to finish behind Kenyan winner Purity Kangogo Kimetto (74:14) and also picked up the bonus of finishing first veteran.
Third woman and first veteran over 40 was Bristol & West’s Annabel Granger (80:28).
Top local man was Westbury Harriers’ Scott Campbell in 17th (76:35). Two-times former Olympic marathon runner Dan Robinson, who marked his comeback with a creditable 71:06 for eighth place and afterwards declared himself delighted.
