CONGRATULATIONS to Annabel Gummow on an excellent debut in the IAAF World cross Country Championships in Poland.
The 16-year-old Bristol & West AC runner from Truro, who is coached by Chris Wooldridge, finished 30th and third British runner behind Kate Avery and Amelia Gorecka in the Under 20 women’s race to help the squad finish fifth team and first European country behind Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda and Japan.
“That’s a terrific run by Annabel especially considering she is so young and will be able to run the event again in the future,” said B&W club chairman Mike Down.
